Are you looking to replace an existing shower, or refurbish?
Retiling can be a hassle if you’re replacing an existing shower. To avoid the need to retile, just make sure the Mira shower you go for is either slightly bigger or the same shape and size as your old one and that the hot and cold water pipes are in the same position.
If you’re unsure then speak to your plumber. Alternatively, our customer service team would be happy to help so feel free to give them a call on 0844 571 5000. And if you do want to retile, Mira wall panels are an easy alternative that can be installed in record time and feature a Biocote finish to reduce bacteria and mould by up to 99.9%.
Our installation & user guides feature product dimensions and water inlet positions and can be downloaded here.

Do you want to replace your shower with the existing type?
If you need help identifying the type of shower you currently have, we’ve put a handy guide together below to help you out.
Electric
ELECTRICElectric showers only take water from the mains cold water supply and heat it instantaneously when you turn the shower on, by passing it over a heating element inside the shower - in a similar way to how a kettle works. When you shower, you don't use up and stored hot water - so electric showers are ideal for families and households where there is a limited supply of hot water. Electric showers are always ready to use, any time of the day or night. The amount of hot water flow produced depends on the power rating - the higher the kW rating the better the flow. Our electric range has all sorts of options to choose from, including traditional white, chrome finishes and stylish fascias in slate, glass or with a patterned effect so you personalise the overall look to your taste. Many Mira electric showers also benefit from pioneering technology to give you the perfect shower experience. Sensi-flo prevents scalding and Clearscale reduces limescale by half. Perfect.
IMPORTANT
When replacing an existing electric shower you’ll need to check the type of cable you have in your home, which will be 6mm, 8mm or 10mm. Also check the cable run length and the fuse. For more powerful electric showers, you may need to increase the cable size but your plumber can make sure everything is in order.
Mixers
MIXERMixer showers do just that. They take water from both hot and cold water supplies then mix it up to reach the perfect temperature. They tend to flow faster than electric showers but if you have a low-pressure gravity water system then you can up the flow by adding a Mira pump.
The Mira mixer collection is filled with outstanding designs from contemporary to classic designs. Our mixers are the UK’s most powerful, with Magni-Flo technology giving up to three times more flow than other mixer showers. Choose from deluge showerheads, double showerheads (known as diverters), 360-degree showerheads with 4 spray patterns and mini mixers for a minimal look.
Mixer showers are spot on if you have a plentiful supply of hot water.
Power
POWERPower showers take water from both hot and cold water supplies then mix it to reach the perfect temperature. They produce an impressive spray because of internal water pump that boosts the water flow.
We have a wide range of beautifully designed power showers with both manual and thermostatic temperature control, which is safer and won’t affect the temperature if someone uses the water whilst you’re in the shower. This is an added bonus for families with small children and power showers offer a good blend of affordability and performance. Most Mira powers showers allow you set your shower to a specific flow rate and come with adjustable spray patterns for the ultimate aqua experience.
Power showers are perfect for homes with a plentiful supply of hot water.
Digital
DIGITALDigital mixer showers take water from both hot and cold water supplies then mix it up to reach the perfect temperature. With all the intelligence you’d expect from a digital product, these showers are accurate, powerful and allow you to personalise your experience down to the smallest detail. Our digital shower range includes easy to install wireless products allowing you to programme your preferred temperature and flow then warm the shower up with the wireless controller so it’s ready and waiting for you to jump in. It turns showering into the perfect part of every day.
Digital showers are perfect for homes with a plentiful supply of hot water and are available in ’high pressure’ versions if you have a high pressure water system and ‘pumped/ versions for gravity fed systems.
